I feel deeply moved by Karuna’s work and am particularly delighted to give my time to this project supporting gender equality. Being able to connect with others and inspire them to give is hugely rewarding. I’m really looking forward to speaking with supporters about the work we’re doing and seeing how those connections unfold.

Hi, I’m from Ireland, living in Dublin and training to be a chaplain. I had some free time opening up over the summer and someone suggested I volunteer as a fundraiser on a Karuna appeal. I thought, ‘why not’. I’m inspired by the projects Karuna funds, by the supporters who give so generously to them, and by the many volunteers over the years who transcended the thought, ‘I could never do that’. I am especially look forward to updating Karuna supporters on the impact they are having in the world.

Karuna always feels worth supporting owing to the difference they are able to make via aligned values. These are partnership, empowerment, equality and the compassion that can relieve real suffering and transform the prospects of people who have been marginalised and excluded. And I can support them with what I have – time and energy – letting me support others to give what they might have.

Regional fundraiser
I fundraise for Karuna because I value justice, equality and kindness. Our partners tirelessly support those with limited access to resources and basic human rights so they can live a better quality of life. It is an honour to connect people in UK with the richness of the human lives they will never meet and offer an opportunity to make a difference to those lives.

This is my first time fundraising for Karuna Trust, and I am doing so because of the values it embodies and the approaches it takes in its various projects, genuinely and practically contributing to a better world for all. This is a fresh approach to International Development and effective communications which really and be a path-leader for the wider Aid community.

Hi! I’m Jack, a regional fundraiser working in London. I first got involved in Karuna in Spring 2023.
Our door to door efforts reflect just one of the many ways Karuna does its fantastic work supporting those affected by poverty in South Asia. It is a joy and inspiration to be a part of it, to meet new supporters and to work alongside our friendly and supportive team!
