Louise began her career working with stateless refugees and asylum seekers from East Africa. After studying International Development at SOAS, she spent more than a decade working on programmes that scaled innovative educational models across the UK and globally.
Her career has consistently focused on tackling exclusion — social, economic and civic — while building positive and effective organisational cultures. She has held senior leadership roles across the non-profit sector, including Interim and Deputy CEO positions, working closely with boards and serving as a trustee.
Louise’s connection with Karuna began as a volunteer on one of our appeals. For the past five years, she has been part of Karuna professionally; first as Trust Fundraiser, then co-leading our fundraising team and now as Chief Executive Officer. She is also a trained coach, innovation consultant and experienced manager.
Louise divides her time between London and her home in rural Norfolk. She enjoys sea swimming and meditation.
