About Us
Karuna, a charity inspired by Buddhist values, works alongside the most excluded people in South Asia, overcoming discrimination with locally-led education, gender equality and sustainable livelihood projects.
Our Approach: Team-Based Right Livelihood At Karuna, our work is more than a job — it is an expression of our Buddhist Team-Based Right Livelihood, which has four aims:
- Ethical Purpose – An ethical purpose, which for us is overcoming poverty and discrimination
- No Exploitation – To take care of those working for the organisation and not exploit workers
- Spiritual Practice – To provide a framework for spiritual practice for the team
- Sustainability – To ensure the work is sustainable, both economically and for the planet
About the Job
This is a pivotal role at a moment of organisational change. Karuna Trust is refining its Theory of Change, investing in data systems, and recommitting to its locally led development model. The Impact and Learning Manager will be central to ensuring that evidence of change — including in areas such as community resilience, civil society capacity, and women’s empowerment — is captured, understood, and acted upon.
