Every step matters
We are thrilled to be taking part in the 2027 London Marathon and we’d love you to run with us.
When you run the London Marathon for Karuna, 100% of everything you raise goes directly to our projects — funding girls who stay in school instead of entering forced marriages, women who learn their rights and find their voice, and families who build a future free from discrimination.
A charity place with Karuna
We have one guaranteed London Marathon 2027 charity place. It’s a real commitment, so we’d ask whoever takes it to aim to raise at least £2,000.
Of course, we also know it’s a marathon, not a sprint. We’ll be with you every step of the way: helping you set up your fundraising page through Enthuse, supporting you to share your story and making sure you have everything you need to make sure the benefits of your incredible efforts reach the most people.
As our charity place runner, you will receive:
- A guaranteed entry to the London Marathon
- A personalised fundraising page through Enthuse
- Support from our team as you prepare and share your journey
Why Run for Karuna?
When you cross the finish line on Marathon Day, you’ll have done more than complete 26.2 miles — you’ll have changed lives.
Karuna works alongside excluded communities in India, Nepal and Bangladesh, supporting locally-led projects that tackle caste discrimination, gender-based violence and educational inequality. Because we keep our overheads low and our partnerships strong, every pound you raise goes directly to the people who need it most.
By taking our London Marathon 2027 charity place, every step you run becomes part of something much bigger — a movement of solidarity that crosses continents.
What your fundraising could achieve:
- £500 could keep a girl in secondary school for a year, protecting her from early marriage
- £1,000 could fund a women’s rights training programme for an entire village
- £2,000 could support a community-led project for six months, reaching hundreds of families
Already have a ballot place?
If you’ve secured your own marathon place and want to use it for something beyond the finish line, there’s no minimum fundraising target — even more reason to run for Karuna. 100% of what you raise will still go where it’s needed and you’ll be part of the same team with the same support behind you.
